Russ Gallivan

Crane and Safety Inspector/Trainer

Russ has been in the construction industry for over 15 years working as an Ironworker, General Foreman, and Safety Repetitive, for a local structural steel company. He joined MSC Safety Solutions and Colorado Crane Operator School in October of 2018. He brings a hands-on approach with his extensive experience in the steel erection business and knowledge of all aspects of safety to include, Subpart R, Rigging and Crane Safety, Fall Protection, and Safety Management. Russ is a seasoned trainer who brings an active classroom approach that gets students involved. Russ is also a business owner who understands the balance between safety, quality, and production. He started 5280 Fitness and is still involved in its management.

Russ grew up in southern Missouri and moved to Colorado to play football for Adams State. With a career shortened due to injuries, he went on to graduate from Colorado State University in 2000. He married his college sweetheart and they have two very active children who keep them busy. Outside of work you will find him spending time with his family, coaching young athletes, and participating in a variety of outdoor activities. He has a strong belief that the only thing standing in your way to accomplish your goals is your belief that it may not happen. Change your beliefs and you will change your life.
